To meet the demands of thermally constrained embedded applications, Intel has introduced a new Intel® architecture platform with robust performance and low thermal design power (TDP) optimized for fanless embedded designs.

The Intel® Atom™ processor Z5xx series and the Intel® System Controller Hub deliver the performance of an Intel architecture processor at up to 1.6 GHz in a platform with thermal design power (TDP) of less than 5 watts¹ and extended lifecycle support. The processor has a footprint of 13x14mm (182 mm²).
